So I had an open mind going into this weeks meditation experience. I did this by setting the mood for optimal relaxation and meditation. These are the things I usually do when I meditate. To set the stage i have my yoga mat laid out in my background with a candle lit and listen to the intro from The XX which I have attached below. It sets the mood for me to unwind. Listening to the love and kindness MP3 I was more in tune with it then the previous one. The women's voice was soothing and allowed me to relax and let my mind go blank. I really didn't listen to what she had to say because I went into my own world.
I actually enjoyed the Subtle mind recording a lot better than the Loving Kindness recording. I felt a lot more comfortable relaxing than I did last week, the Loving Kindness really stressed me out because I was already so emotional. Are there any other things you like to listen to when you meditate?
It is good that you found an exercise that works for you. I have enjoyed all of these exercises thus far, but I must say that this one challenged me. i'm not nearly as nice of a guy as I would like to be. I regret that, now that I think about it, but I will improve in time. This exercise has given me plenty to think about.
